Age is calculated differently in some cultures. This calculation is according to the most prevalent ageing system. In this model, age is calculated as increasing on a person’s Birthday. If there is a remainder, there is a person with that age plus one year. For example, a person who has lived for 3 years and 11 months will have an age of 3, turning 4 in the next month when it is their birthday. The age system is the most used in the west.

In some societies one age is considered to be the age one has until the next birthday. For instance, a mere twenty-year-old is just as old as an old person who is in her twenty-first year. And, in the Traditional Chinese age system one is born at age 1 and whenever the Traditional Chinese New Year come in your life you add one year to your age. It means if a baby is born 1 day before the Traditional Chinese New Year, 2 days later, the baby will be at age of 2 though he/she is only 2 days old.

Some of you would be wondering that this age calculator may be resulting in some wrong months / date, if it is getting used for the ending month date. For instance, we consider Feb. 20 to March 20 to be one month. But there are two ways to interpret the age (from Feb. 28, 2022, to Mar. 31, 2022). If we assume Feb. 28 to Mar. 28 is a month, then the answer is one month and 3 days. bla)days And if we do count both feb. 28 and mar. 31 as the end of the month, then it gives 1 month. Both calculation results are reasonable. It’s the same thing with dates that involve the 30s and 31s: Apr. 30-May 31, May 30-June 30 and so on. This is due to the uneven number of days in different months. We employ the latter method in our calculations.
